We are settling into our new routine and Ayson is enjoying school and has been eating and sleeping more (school takes lots of energy!). The bus picks Ayson up around 7:10 and then Daddy takes Addie to Linda's. After work, Mommy picks up Ayson at the school and then they pick up Addie.
A funny story from last Saturday that Mommy forgot to include on the blog. Daddy was in the kitchen making spaghetti sauce (trying to use up tomatoes from the garden) and Ayson was sitting at the table watching a show on the computer as it was rainy outside (Addie was napping). Well...somehow Ayson got to the icon for Skype AND he ended up calling the United Arab Emirates where our friend, Sandy, is currently a Professor at the American University of Sharjah (we all went to grad school at Clemson together). All of the sudden Daddy hears a phone ringing and then Sandy appears on the computer screen! Sandy said a quick hello to the boys and then they let her get back to sleep as it was 1:30 our time and night time for Sandy! We have a world map on our wall in the kitchen/dining room so Mommy made sure to show Ayson where we live, where our families live (NY and MI) AND where Sandy lives!
Pirate Ayson taking Daddy and Addie as his prisoners on Monday!

Mommy had to get in on the fun.

THEN, Gianna came over for a little bounce fun. Check out Addie in mid bounce!

Cheese!

Sunflowers galore!

This week, Ayson was learning about the color GREEN! Mommy included a few of Ayson's projects for the Grandparents. He has learned a few new songs and he likes to sing them to us. Mommy will try and record Ayson singing one of his songs and put it on the blog :)

Glue sticks, glue sticks, glue sticks!

On Wednesday, Gianna came over with another friend/neighbor, Noah, who lives down the road. The kids had fun playing with Gi and Noah. Mommy thinks Ayson was excited to have another boy around...Ayson had to give Noah a tour of the fort and the garden.

Garden exploring.

Argh...Pirate Addie!

Ayson and Addie waiting for the school bus on Friday.
As requested, from Grandma Pat, a picture of Ayson getting on the bus.
The kids playing with the sleeping bag on another rainy Saturday.
Saturday night, Mommy and Daddy went out on a date! Neighbor Denise called Mommy back in early August and told Mommy that she had Sep 13th free AND that she wanted to babysit for us so that we could go out to dinner...what a great surprise!!! We have amazing friends!
On Sunday morning, we took a walk in the orchard.

Ayson and Daddy had a burdock war...Ayson stocking up on ammunition! Mommy and Addie were innocent bystanders caught in the cross fire.

Yummy sweet apples from the old orchard trees!

Then we strolled around the garden and had fun outside the rest of the afternoon.

Addie has been telling Ayson that she loves him AND tonight, Ayson told Addie that he loves her! Mommy was quick and got a video (to help remind them when they are teens and annoy each other:)
