September Fun with Apples

We had a good week and a nice weekend that ended with a visit from Grandpa Chuck on Sunday.

A^4 had fun with chalk on Monday.

Then Sunshine stopped by with the kids for a bit of afternoon fun.

This week Ayson's class focused on the color red.

On Tuesday night, Mommy and Daddy attended a Pre-K curriculum meeting and we learned all that will be covered this year and what goes on everyday in school.  As soon as the kids arrive, they sit in a circle and go over what day it is (Monday, Tuesday...) and what day yesterday and tomorrow are. Each day, one boy and one girl student helper are chosen to help with the calendar and to check out the window for the weather and then they dress the Weather Pig in the appropriate clothes.  Then the kids work on activities focusing on the color and topic (apples are a major theme for September) include coloring, glue sticking, and singing.

Gianna babysat for us (her mom was home and just one house away) for the hour that we were learning about Ayson's day.  Thanks, Gianna!

Addie wearing a pair of high heels that came with a box of clothes that Auntie Holly sent...thanks Holly!

The kiddos broke out the Candy Land board game on Friday evening.

A few activities from Ayson's 2nd week of school.

Ayson did a great job on matching by the code!

On Saturday, Mommy took the kids to the big park.

LOOK at me, Mommy!!!

Then it was back home for a snack after playing hard at the park.

Gianna let the kids ride around in her wagon...Ayson enjoyed going down the hills :)

(The song is taking WAY to long to upload so I will try again later this week :)
Ayson (and Addie) singing a song about apples.  Addie insisted on including a purple apple in the song and it messed up Ayson's concentration...too cute!

One of the songs Ayson learned at school mentioned apple pie and then Ayson requested a pie...so Daddy made one!

MMmmm!

As you can see, the pie was a big hit with everyone :)

Ayson wanted to help mop the Boys room floor on Sunday...thanks, Ayson!

Bounce time!

Grandpa Chuck came over to visit with the kids and to watch a little football. Too bad the Giants were not on the TV (at least in NY) but the boys and kids still had fun together.
