Happy and Healthy

We are thankful for happy and healthy family and friends AND kids that do not have colds (hahaha...watch, Mommy just "jinxed" herself!).  Mommy took the kids to the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) on the Martin Luther King holiday, we explored a new (to the kids) area on Saturday, and the weather was crazy warm and sunny both weekend days!!!

Mommy and the Kiddos had Monday off so we went to the MOST!
While waiting in line, Addie noticed that the little girl right behind us had the exact same shirt on..so we had to get a picture :)

Ayson standing a little too close to the rocket...

Wall climbing.  Ayson is the boy in red (just below the diamond shape with the 8) and Addie is to the left of Ayson.

We met Sunshine and Mikhon at the MOST so that the kiddos could play together.

Watching the train

Mommy was surprised to find a section of the Berlin Wall outside of the MOST.  After the picture, Mommy had to explain why it was so important that the wall came down...ugh.  Mommy remembers the TV being on as a little girl and there was plenty of news coverage on the Wall.  Anyway, Mommy told the kiddos that the wall divided Germany into 2 pieces and separated families that just happened to live in another section of the country (like A^4 from our families in Shortsville and in Michigan). Mommy explained that it was very dangerous if people tried to cross from one side to the other. Mommy can't wait to see how the Wall is taught to the kiddos in World History class...

Being nice is what Ayson wrote.  My goal is for Ayson and Addie to treat everyone with respect (and to be kind to others)

On Friday night, Addie wanted to build circuits so we built the helicopter.  Addie had fun catching the propeller as it came back down :)

Saturday was crazy warm (~55 degrees) and we went to Baltimore Woods for a hike. http://baltimorewoods.org/
Mommy and Daddy were last there with Grandma Pat when Ayson was just a little guy (Mommy does not think Addie was born yet...she will have to go back through the old blog posts and check!)

From this view, you can see a house on the horizon and this house is on the south side of US 20...pretty cool!

Baltimore Woods has had many improvements since we were there last and we will be back soon!
Outdoor fireplace and pavilion.

The kiddos signing the guest book at the Interpretive Center.  There are all sorts of kid friendly activities and programs so we will be sure to add Baltimore Woods Nature Center to our list of favorite places to explore!

All of the hives in the orchard were active on Sunday!

Daddy's poor snowball.  We are supposed to get 6-12 inches starting Monday afternoon so we shall see if the snowball can survive!  Check out all of the leaves that have fallen off of the snowball!
