Hello New Year!

We hope everyone had a good first week of 2017 and that everyone is doing well!

On Monday, A^4 had the day off so we combined the errand of grocery shopping with a little bit of fun by going to the Cortland Water Works to visit the ducks, geese, and deer. Mommy and Daddy used to walk by the Water Works all the time when we lived in Cortland.

The kids had to get their picture on the sleigh :)

Who cares about animals when there is a HUGE snow pile!!

Checking out the geese and ducks

A doe thought we had some food so she came right over to the fence and her fawn followed her.

On Tuesday, Mommy's friend Robyn gave the kids a necklace and of course Mommy showed Ayson how to make a "severed" finger out of the box...yet another generation to carry on the silly "trick"

Ayson has a NEW chore..making his and Addie's school lunch sandwiches.  Addie is providing quality control by taste testing the peanut butter!  Nice job, Ayson!

Playing with another present from Christmas: Circuit Beats-creating sound/music from objects that complete a circuit.

Who wants to race?!??

On Saturday, Mommy and Addie joined the McPike Girls (Grandma Collene, Aunts Sally and Becky (Grandpa Ric's sister's), Tori (Sally's daughter), and Kerry (Sally's daughter in law)) for lunch at the Sherwood Inn in Skaneateles .
Aunt Becky gave the kiddos a really cool book about the ocean.  Thanks for the book, Aunt Becky! And a big thanks to Grandma for treating Mommy and Addie to the ladies lunch!

While the girls were in Skaneateles, Daddy and Ayson went to lunch at McDonald's, then to the dump, and then Daddy introduced Ayson to Clarks Reservation State Park.

Ayson loved the big cracks in the rocks and the playground!

On Sunday, A^4 went for a walk in the orchard and checked out the cool ice formations in the creek.
