Mommy also ended up taking Addie to the Drs Thursday morning as she was complaining of her ear hurting...a reoccurring ear ache so another round of different antibiotics for the next week.
We still managed to get outside and play during this rainy week/weekend and for THAT we are thankful :)
A RAINBOW on Tuesday evening!!!

Addie imitating Daddy when Daddy gets frustrated (with the kids :) and starts talking with his hands...hahaha!
Daddy: "I don't talk like that...Do I??!?!?!"

Getting ready to hit....

RUN Ayson, RUN!

On Friday, the First grade classes went to Lime Hollow Nature Preserve in Cortland which is about 2 miles from Mommy's office SO Mommy joined in on the field trip!!! It was a cool morning but no rain...so perfect for a walk in the woods!
There were three instructors and they led the 3 first grade classes on little hikes that focused on the 5 senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, AND taste...not until lunch time ;)
The kids got to see and hear tadpoles, a frog, and a dragonfly (a garter snake was a bonus!)

The kids learned about different ears on their favorite animals and why the animals might need good hearing. Yes, Ayson picked a cat for his favorite animal for our kitty Mason :) At this station, the kids also had to touch objects found in nature and try and guess the name AND listen to objects (also found in nature) and try to guess their name.

The kids went on a scavenger hunt. There were 37 items hidden (that should not be in the woods) and Mommy and Ayson only found 22 the first time through! (We did find close to 35 on the walk back :)

Lunch time with Parker and Grady. Mommy and Ayson only moved three times during lunch!

Addie feel asleep again on Friday early evening with Mason keeping her company :)

Friday night garden walk: the Red Valerian is blooming!

We are excited to find out what color the poppies will be!

Friday night Smores!

Daddy had to go to work on Saturday morning and this pigeon would NOT get off of Daddy's truck!! Finally, after driving down a street AND turning on the windshield wipers, the pigeon flew off!

We knew Sunday would be dreary so we went for a hike to Tinker Falls (at Ayson's request) on Saturday afternoon. Ayson was a sight in his outfit...he had his orange shirts tucked into his sweatpants that were pulled up past his waist. At least his socks matched his shirts...hahaha! He would not let Mommy take a good picture :)

A view from the side of the waterfall!

The trail behind the waterfall

The ceiling and entrance behind the waterfall.

Walking in the stream above the falls. Mommy loves this picture because Ayson is in the middle of jumping and it is SO green!

Family photo!!

Goofball kiddos!

Exploring!

On the hike, Ayson found a rock in the shape of a heart/diamond. Did you know that the "heart/diamond shape" is a symbol of hope in the new(er) Superman "Man of Steel" movie ?!??! Now you know!
Ayson did not want to misplace his rock so he placed a nut (that we found on our hike) right above the rock...should be easy to find the rock now! :)

We took the long way back to the house as we needed to stop at the Little York Nursery and look for Brandy wine heirloom tomato plants.
Ayson: "what is a nursery?"
Daddy: "a place where you can buy babies"...sigh...
In addition to tomato plants, we picked up a few petunias. Mommy told the kiddos that Mommy would help Grandma Pat plant petunias around the house when Mommy was a little girl.
Initially, Ayson did not want to get out of the truck BUT once he saw all of the colorful flowers, he said, "Mumma, I am SO glad that you made all of us get out of the truck! This is the best place ever!!!" hahahah!
Ayson wanted a picture next to the flowers :) Notice that his top shirt is untucked...

A rainy and lazy Sunday afternoon!

Mommy painted Addie's nails with "Piggy Paint"
