A few last school pics from Ayson's class:
Ayson building a banjo.

Ayson's teacher, Mrs Zahner, had all sorts of fun activities planned for the week: popcorn day (so science and math with popcorn), camping day (creating a tent and cuddles with friends around a "fire"), ice cream day (the kids had to create their own creations and vote on which toppings were liked the most/least...so bar graphs :) and water balloon toss on "Beach Day" (kiddos wore flip flops, sun glasses, and shorts/tank tops, and brought their towels).

We did not realize that Lacrosse was cancelled on Monday so Ayson and his friend Quinton got to goof around for a bit by themselves.

Addie was not feeling well on Wednesday (stomach ache), so she did not go to her Lacrosse practice and instead joined Daddy and Ayson at the boys Lacrosse practice.

Addie had a follow up Drs appointment on Friday to make sure that her ear infection was healing properly. All is well and the Dr stated she did not need to see Addie until next year- yay!
Addie pointing at the picture that depicts "raining cats and dogs" (we talked about rain coming down so hard that it was raining cats and dogs last weekend :)

Mommy was in Buffalo all week sampling fish on the Buffalo River with Federal and State colleagues.

On Saturday, we explored a new hiking trail along an old railroad bed near Skaneateles. As a bonus, there was also playground equipment!!

Stairs down to Skaneateles Creek

The trail followed Skaneateles Creek the entire way

Exploring an old wall (that was probably part of a mill race)

"Hi" to our friends and family!!!

Some sections on the Creek were shallow and slow enough to wade into.

Other sections, not so much

A sign at the trail head:

Checking out the fish!

After our hike, we had lunch in Skaneateles and then walked the pier. We saw a school of BIG carp! Some of the fish looked bigger than Addie! The kids loved it!

Ayson picked up a hitchhiker during our hike that we did not find until we got home later Saturday afternoon - A LEECH!!!! The leech is now another family pet until Daddy can convince Ayson to feed the leech to the fish :) Once Ayson gets a little older, Mommy and Daddy will have to introduce him to the movie "Stand By Me" :) :) :)

On Saturday evening, we went to a friends house to hopefully watch the hot air balloons fly by during the Balloon Festival. Unfortunately, the weather (wind) was not cooperating and we did not see any balloons in the air this year.
The kids still had fun!

Ayson learning how to play badminton! Mommy used to LOVE badminton!!!

Pretty sunset!
