Summer Fun!

A^4 had a great week at home and a visit from Grandpa Chuck on Saturday! We hope everyone is enjoying summer as much as we are!

Petroglyphs from Adam's trip to NM (2 weeks ago)

Would love to be able to taking a running leap and start flying over the buttes!!

Addie painting the pony that she has picked out for the annual Jone's "un-birhtday" party last weekend:)  Our two kiddos were the only kids that brought gifts, so they got to keep what they picked out for others!! Notice that Addie has paint on her cheek :)

We finally received about an inch of rain on Monday evening!  Closer to Mommy's work received over 4 inches!!
It was raining overhead and the sun was peaking out for a pretty sunset and rainbow!

Mommy and Addie visited with Mrs Oliver, her daughter, Deidre, and her two twin grand babies, Addie and Aubrey.  Deidre currently lives in Greenville SC (not too far from Clemson!).  The twins are 15 months old and it is SO cute to watch them interact!

The two Addies :)

Deidre, Addie, Aubrey, Beverly, and our Addie!

Addie showing Mommy how she "dabs."

The field next to Labrador has been cut!  The round bales looked so cool sitting in the field!

Checking on our blueberries and testing out the new bug zappers!  The zappers are a hit!  Poor Addie managed to stand too close to a wasp nest and got stung!  Stinging insects always seem to find her :( We found enough blueberries for our pancakes on Saturday and oatmeal on Sunday!!!

A snake was enjoying the boardwalk too!  After Mommy took this photo, the snake "faked" a move at Mommy and then took off into the wetland!

Sunset from the boardwalk parking lot.

Ayson discovered he had over $20 in his wallet and immediately spent it at the dollar store buying toys :)  :)

Grandpa Chuck came out for a visit on Saturday and Daddy decided we should walk to the hang gliding spot (the "tippy top") at Labrador.  We took the hike nice and slow for Grandpa!

Behind the waterfall that is currently just a trickle

Ayson at the top of the waterfall.

Auntie Holly, we found a geocache along the trail!!!

We made it to the top!!!!

Addie was not interested in participating in the photo

but she sure enjoyed the view!

The view looking towards our valley

The kids still had enough energy to swim!

Addie could not WAIT for Mommy's birthday (August) and had to give Mommy one of her gifts early!  A beaded lizard that she made!

Bouncing before S'mores

Chocolate faces :)

Zapp'n bugs

BUT not bees or butterflies!  Mommy counted 9 bees (resting for the night) on one sunflower

Purple coneflowers

On Sunday, we made a day out of running a few errands in Syracuse.  Too bad the kids could not agree on what fun things we should do.  Ayson wanted to see a movie while Addie wanted to go to the MOST - so we did both!

Mommy and Asyon watched  Hotel Transylvania 3 at the Movie Tavern and Adam and Addie went to the MOST

Ah!!!!

The playground area.  Adam and Addie were one of the first  people to arrive and Adam was able to get inside with Addie!

Lunch!

LOOK at that hot chocolate!

Afterwards our separate "play dates", we met back up and then stopped by Adam's office so that the kiddos could check out Adam's NEW fish!

We picked up snails at Country Max (pine cat litter was the entire reason we went to Syracuse) and Ayson wanted more snails for the fish tank at home. He then convinced Adam to walk down to the creek, once we got home, to look for more snails and fish for the fish tank!  Mommy has a feeling the massive goldfish in our tank is going to eat everything that we add to it!
