A visit with Grandpa Chuck and the FIRST day of school

Grandpa Chuck watched the kiddos for us on Tuesday and Wednesday before school started on Thursday.  Thank you, Grandpa!!!   Thursday was the first day of school: first grade for Addie and third grade for Ayson.  The kids had a great first two days and enjoyed seeing their friends again!

The clouds turned pink from the setting sun on Monday evening.

Ayson getting his 15 minutes of reading in with a captive audience :)

Mason, are you comfortable?!?

Gorgeous night on Tuesday.  Hard to see, but the bugs were floating in the sky - perfect end of summer evening.

There is still time to play!!

Addie practiced reading with Grandpa.  Thanks, Grandpa!

First day of THIRD grade!

Waiting for the bus...

Aaand still waiting for the bus:)  The first week either has the bus running late or early - we will take the late option, please!

Hi there!

Tall sunnies in the garden

On Saturday, Adam and Ayson went galivanting in Syracuse (hair cuts, oil change, and grocery shopping) while Mommy and Addie went to Labrador Unique area to hike Tinker Falls and to the "Tippy Top"

Just a trickle of water over the falls!

Addie trying to give Mommy "bunny ears"

Addie noticed that this downed tree was totally covered in lichens!

So cool!!

The view from the "Tippy Top."  There was a goup of about 25 people at the top working out - the walk up was just their warm up :)

Adam and the 7 bags of Hatch (New Mexico) chilies that he bought at Wegmans :)
Roasting the chilies

And roasting marshmallows :)
