We had a busy week with our monarchs emerging from their chrysalis last week, the kids started a new morning routine, Neighbor Denise watched the kids for us, we had a visit with our circus neighbors, AND we went to Pratts Falls.  We hope everyone had a wonderful week and weekend!

Our monarchs started emerging from their chrysalis last Monday!!!  Mommy and Adam woke up to THIS!

Since it was supposed to downpour most of Monday, we set the butterfly free under an overhang near some flowers :)

Tuesday:  Our 2nd Monarch and the wings are still folded!

Letting the butterfly go near some flowering milkweed early Tuesday morning.

Number 3 emerged on Friday, now we have only one left to emerge!!!

Sunrise at 6:46 am on Friday - why so early?!?  Because as of Wednesday morning, the kids GET ON the bus at 6:32 am.  I am NOT joking (or happy).  We found out on Tuesday when the kids missed the 6:30 bus - we were actually early (for us) since we were releasing the butterfly but no one told us about a bus route change.  We waited for the bus like normal (7:10-7:15) and the bus did come by and I was told that the bus stopped by "again" because we did not know about the change - really?!?!??!!  Sigh.  Our road is now the first stop and the kids are now the 3rd on the bus and ride the bus until 7:40.  So far, the kids have not minded as Mommy let them take the kindles on the bus (no internet but they can still play).  We shall see how things go (behavior and tiredness wise)!

Grass from the pollinator garden at Mommy's work

The kids received their flu shots Friday evening and their reward for good behavior was ice cream!!!!!  YAY!

Addie was still a little scared and had tears but there was no kicking, crying, screaming, or trying to break out of the exam room like the afternoon of March 17, 2017 (forever burned into Mommy's mind)

Gorgeous sunset on Friday!

Saturday morning dew on our flowers:)

On Saturday, Neighbor Denise came over to watch the kiddos so that Mommy and Adam could go out to lunch and go shopping.  Thank you, Denise!
Saturday evening, we had our neighbors over for dinner and a garden walk.  Afterwards, we made smores and watched for satellites and shooting stars.

Ayson was more obsessed with the fire from the candles in the mason jars :)

On Sunday morning, we went for an early morning hike at Pratts Falls.  We were glad we got our walk in early as it turned out to be hot Sunday afternoon!
Last swing of the season (before the swings get taken down for the season).

The Falls

White slime mold (I think) on the ground looked like snow!

Picking wild cucumbers!

Not as tasty as what we grow and eat!

It was hot during Sunday afternoon so we mainly stayed indoors and in the shade!
Addie playing with the musical keyboard that requires plant/animal life (the water) to conduct the energy to make the sounds.
