Happy Birthday Grandma Pat AND Grandpa Chuck!

Thanks to Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger for watching the kiddos for us last week!  Grandma spent her birthday with us again (Tuesday).  Thanks, Grandma!!  After Grandma and Grandpa left Saturday morning, A^4 went to Canandaigua to squeeze the last bit out of summer with one last visit to a waterpark and a family feast at Auntie Julie and Uncle Dan's to celebrate Grandpa Chuck's birthday (Thursday).  We hope all of our family and friends had a wonderful and relaxing long weekend!!!

On Sunday evening, Daddy made a scavenger hunt for the kiddos and then Ayson made a scavenger hunt for Adam!
Adam's clues

Another clue

Adam's prize: a new car (matchbox car, that is)!!!

Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger kept the kids busy during the week: swimming everyday, out to lunch three of the five days, reading, homework, and games.

A hot walk in the orchard Monday night!

Grandma Pat's birthday was on Tuesday and we celebrated with a birthday dinner  and ice cream for dessert! (unfortunately, no pictures!)

Good morning, Grandma!

On Wednesday, we went to school to drop off school supplies and to show Grandma and Grandpa the kid's classrooms and meet their teachers for the new  school year.
Adam canned TWO batches of tomatoes Wednesday evening!

On Thursday, the kiddos each had two Monarch caterpillars in mason jars that were getting ready to form chrysalises.

So cool!

Ayson was busy during the week creating a "Bonnie" costume - for Halloween.

Thanks to the Anthony's and their pool, the kids were able to play and cool off during the week!

The kiddos made cookies with Grandma!!!  Yum!

Addie's favorite part of summer vacation: Grandma's visit!

Gorgeous sunset on Thursday!

and flower investigating

Ayson's new stuffed animal (that he saved his own money to buy!) arrived on Friday.  Ayson was SO happy - check out that smile!

Grandpa and Grandma brought Mommy (and the kiddos) keepsakes from Great Grandma Roe.

Well HELLO, September!

After Grandma and Grandpa left on Saturday morning, Mommy and the kiddos went to Roseland Waterpark with Auntie Julie and cousins Kaela and Curran!  The kids had fun in the wave pool and on the slides!  Addie even went down a slide without Mommy!

After the waterpark, we head to Auntie Julie and Uncle Dan's place for a seafood boil and a camp out.

Crazy caterpillar: spiny Io moth. Io Moth caterpillar spines can "sting," and the stinging hairs are technically known as "urticating spines."

Ring pop tongues

Giant puffball mushrooms!!

Four leaf clover hunting

Addie insisted on taking a picture of the "elbow" tree

Addie's photo shoot:  Addie wanted to take a picture of Mommy and Auntie and she wanted "real" smiles :)

So we made sure to return the favor!

Riding back up the driveway after fishing - no luck!  Granted, it was crazy hot and the fish were probably just not biting.

Hammocks turned the kids into roosting bats!

On Labor Day, Daddy and the kiddos memorialized Summer 2018 with quick dry concrete :)
