LAST day of School!!

A great week for the kids with the last day of school on Thursday, friends visited on Saturday, lots of pool time, and a hike on Sunday.  We hope everyone is enjoying summer and managing to stay cool!

Last Day of SCHOOL!  Of course the kiddos wanted McDonald's for lunch.  Ayson was not interested in a picture because he thought he had assigned homework for the summer.  It was not "homework" but materials for the kids to use over the summer.  Public Broadcasting Service and Kinney Drug teamed up to develop enrichment kits and our school district participated.  The kids received paper, colored pencils, regular pencils, glue, and study guides with more options available on line.

We had a late lunch in Cortland and the kiddos were rubbing their heads on Adam like a cat.  Luckily we were the only people in that section of the restaurant :)

Gorgeous later afternoon for a bike ride.

On Friday, Adam and the kiddos helped Farmer Rick chop hay.  Addie took this photo of Adam driving the dump truck.

Adam's co-pilot!

Ayson rode with Farmer Rick in the chopper.

Purple martin nesting gourds!  Amy assisted a state colleague with nest checks!  Of the 192 gourds we checked, only 5 did not have eggs or nestlings!!

Adam made a mulberry liquor from our mulberries.

On Saturday, our friends the Ouimet's visited!  Our kiddos grew up together - and played at the "little park." They moved to Vermont in 2019 and we miss them dearly!

Sunshine and Amy :)  It was wonderful to see our friends

Ayson wanted a picture of his perfectly roasted marshmallow.

Addie roasted cheese and summer sausage (a gift from Sunshine and Jeremy).  Yum!  Thank you!!!

We went for a hike at Pratts Falls on Sunday on a new trail for the kiddos.
