Dog Days

The weather was hot this past week so we played in the pool as much as possible!  Ayson goes back to school on Sep 2nd...eek...hard to believe our little chick pea will be in Kindergarten!  We have been working on Ayson's school work this summer and both of our "little sponges" are learning new words by leaps and bounds!  The week flew by in a blur and Mommy is happy to report that everyone is happy and healthy.

Addie is getting braver and ventured out on the turtle without assistance.  Ayson helped push her along on Monday :)

Friday night, Addie broke out the sewing animals.  Mommy helped Addie figure out how to thread the string around the animals.


Then it was off to the park for chalk time, B-ball, and bike riding!


Mommy, Addie, and  Ayson on one side of the teeter totter with Daddy on the other FINALLY got Daddy up in the air!!!

On Saturday, we drove back out to Grandma Collene's.  Daddy helped Auntie Julie and Uncle Dan move into their new house while Mommy took the kiddos to Auntie Jen and Uncle Jay's house for some more pool time.  Saturday was PERFECT weather wise (for Mommy anyway:) with temps in the low 70s.  Too cold for Mommy to want to swim but the cooler temps did not deter the kids and luckily Uncle Jay was not deterred either.  Thanks Jay and Jen for letting us come over!!


Whirlpooltime!


Ayson was shivering so hard that his arms were jerking.  Mommy had to drag him out of the pool so that he could warm up. BUT, then the boys got back in the pool (Jay and Jen's kids were off with friends or working).  This weekend Ayson kept calling Uncle Jay "Uncle Alek" but he did not make that slip up last weekend when he was around Uncle Jay.  We DID call cousin Dane on Saturday to sing Happy Birthday.  Maybe Ayson just had Dane/Uncle Alek on the brain:)



Saturday night the kids played in the corn field...such a cool maze when you are little and the corn looks SO high! Ayson is at the edge of the field, just about to walk into the corn (left hand side of the picture).


On Sunday, Daddy wanted to find the grave of his great grandparents so Mommy and Daddy took a short ride while Grandma watched the kids. Thanks, Grandma!


We also found Esther's sister, Ethel, right across the way.
