After a busy previous weekend away, Monday night Ayson was spent working on the birthday card to Grandma Pat. (Daddy is in the background putting new strings on his acoustic guitar)

Tuesday equaled pony tail time for the pony and the dolls (Ayson had to put his jammies on early and go to bead early as he was not listening to Mommy and Daddy)
On Thursday night, Neighbor Denise came over to babysit the kiddos so that Mommy and Daddy could go to the opening concert (Eric Church) at the NY State Fair. In the picture, from right to left, is Mommy, Noelle (she has attended 3 concerts with Mommy this year...so far...we have one more concert NEXT Thursday :), and Noelle's sister. The picture cam about because we were waiting in the LONG line for the bathroom while all of our guys BREEZED on through the mens bathroom...they must not wash their hands :). Both the opening act, The Cadillac Three and Eric Church were fantastic and Mommy danced the entire time!
Mommy and Daddy took Friday off and we headed back to the State Fair with the kiddos. We ate a bunch of fair food, saw a rabbit hopping contest, and petted horses and cows.
Daddy took Ayson on the "bigger" kiddie rides while Mommy took Addie on the "little" kiddie rides. Addie's favorite ride was the merry go round (because she got to ride a horse, of course). She rode the merry go round FOUR times! Ayson's favorite ride was a "roller coaster" that went FAST! It was great to listen to the kids laugh and squeal in frightened excitement.

On Saturday, we went to Grandpa Chuck's to celebrate his retirement from work (and his birthday)

Daddy stayed the night at Grandpa's while Mommy went home with the kiddos. On Sunday morning, Mommy took the kids to the "Big" park before it got too hot outside. So what did the kids gravitate to? The "sand box" even though we have one at home. Mommy tried to get the kids on the slides but they were not interested.
Ayson built a house all on his own (and did not ask for help) while Addie was napping. Great job, Ayson!
Mommy has not been putting Addie down for naps during the weekends unless she asks for one OR is a super crank pot. Today, Addie requested a nap. OK!
We wrapped up the weekend by turning the sprinkler on and placing it under the trampoline so the kids could jump and get wet.
